Description:Responsible for overall management of day to day Front Office operations and assisting with administrative functions
Duties:•Develop and implement plan of action for day to day Front Office operations and assign responsibility accordingly.
•Coordinate Front Desk activities with Guest Services and Rock Star team for VIP arrival/requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
•Ensures proper coverage of C-Level is maintained based on business needs. Communicates need to Front Office Manager.
•Ensures Hotel cleanliness /furniture standards are maintained and upheld throughout daily operations.
•Ensure RockStar team executes Hotel standards for VIP services by monitoring daily VIP arrivals, room assignments, and inspection of VIP rooms in order to ensure quality and cleanliness.
•Monitors work area and daily operations. Assists according to guest/ business demand as needed.
•Assists in the preparation of and monitors occupancy, revenue, payroll and staffing forecasts for Front Office Operations
•Train and develop all Front Office staff in sales, technical and operational procedures
•Investigates and analyze guest complaints to determine root causes of problems and follow-up to resolve problems as needed. Investigate all possible venues of resolving complaint. Track all guest complaints and compensation daily utilizing MOD report.
•Handle and resolve inquiries, special service requests and guest-related problems in a timely, courteous and professional manner
•Assist in hiring, developing, counseling, evaluating and disciplining staff in accordance with Hotel policies and procedure
•Monitory/evaluate daily performance of Front Office associates uniform standards. Correct/address as necessary.
•Responsible to monitor HOTSOS productivity to ensure compliance
•Support and uphold Hotel philosophy concerning hiring, employee relations, supervision and disciplinary actions
•Assists in monitoring associate attendance and compliance. Manages/adjusts associate daily schedule according to business demand.
•Cooperates with the Engineering and Housekeeping departments to maintain the appearance of guest/public area
•Assist, supervise, monitor Guest Services department and daily operations in absence of supervisor and assist according to business demand.
•Provide tours of the Hotel to guests, and refer prospective guests to appropriate departments and or Hotel management.
•Attend Front Office meetings and other meetings as required.
•Acts as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of the Hotel Manager and/or Front Office Manager
Qualifications:•Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Administration preferred, but not required
•Minimum 2 years of Management experience in Front Office operations, policies and procedures

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

•Strong interpersonal, managerial and leadership skills required
•Strong organizational and time management skills required
•Thorough knowledge of Front Office operations
•Ability to perform statistical analysis
•Computer knowledge and proficiency required, i.e. word, excel
•Must possess exceptional oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff

Working Conditions:

Work is not performed in an office environment and requires evening, weekend and holiday hours. Extended periods of standing, walking is required.
