Line Cook - Essex House Shushi

Prepares food menu items for guest in accordance with Essex House standards of recipes, quality and presentation

Duties:Duties and Responsibilities:
Completes assigned side-work duties (opening, closing, ongoing)
Operates and maintains all standard kitchen cooking equipment including, grill, fryer, flattop, and broiler
Maintains cleanliness in assigned station and/or stations
Communicates with Kitchen Manager and service staff to maintain service efficiency and guest satisfaction
Ensures product presentation, quality and cook time are in accordance with Clevelander standards
Practices sanitary and safe food handling by properly following health department regulations
Adapts food menu items to customers preferences
Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately
Reports spills and waste of prepared food menu items to Kitchen Manager
Prepares assigned station according to production schedules to minimize waste
Observes clean as you go cooking procedures
Maintains and ensures compliance of all policies and procedures

Other Functions:
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
18 years old, High school diploma or 2 years related experience preferred

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to verbally communicate and take direction
Ability to follow standard recipes
Strong attention to detail
High energy level and self motivated
Strong organizational and time management skills required

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a mostly kitchen environment and requires evening and weekend hours
