Responsible for providing support to the Culture & Team Engagement (HR) function focusing on new Team Member on-boarding and off-boarding, HRIS maintenance, benefit administration, and Team Member support as directed by the Director of Culture, Resources & Compliance ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and alignment with the Vision, Mission, Core Values and Rally Cry.
+ Facilitate and reinforce the organization’s Mission, Vision, Core Values and behavioral expectations through communication and coaching.
+ Ensure all aspects of on-boarding/off-boarding, Team Member employment support, HRIS/office administration and Team Member relations policies, procedures, programs and communications are effectively executed on a consistent basis with a high regard for quality and accuracy.
+ Maintain Clevelander’s HRIS and all employment files in strict accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and ensuring accurate Clevelander and Team Member records.
+ Instruct and coach Team Members in the interpretation of Culture & Team Engagement policies and procedures to ensure successful adherence. Clarify any questions and direct Team Members to other resources as needed.
+ Maintains Team Member Bulletin Boards on a monthly basis – updates with relevant information that supports Clevelander Mission, Vision, Core Values and Rally Cry.
+ Ensure compliance with all I-9 and employment law record-keeping and tracking as required by federal, state and local laws.
TALENT PLANNING & EMPLOYMENT:
+ In conjunction with the Director of Culture, Training & Development and the Training & Recruitment Manager work to on-board new Team Members by executing the New Team Member Orientation. Ensure that all documents are correctly filled out, communicate all relevant policies and procedures, clarify any questions as necessary, and ensure that all information is updated into HRIS and other relevant systems.
+ As directed by the Director of Culture, Resources & Compliance, provide a variety of reports such as performance violation tracking, quarterly turnover, and others as needed.
+ Ensure timely response to first level Unemployment Claims including all appropriate supporting documentation. Additionally, provide responses to any employment inquiries, whether by phone or mail in a timely, accurate manner.
+ Ensures timely registration of and attendance of Responsible Vendor Training for all newly hired and eligible Team Members. Also coordinates the Quarterly Update Training; communicates to all eligible Team Members and Managers, coordinates the meeting, and is present at each training.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
+ Responsible for benefit administration and compliance for medical, dental, vision, and COBRA according to federal, state or local law and benefit administration guidelines including eligibility and plan communication, enrollments and waivers, life event changes and processing, and terminations and continuation of benefits.
+ Assist Team Members with insurance including answering any/all questions, investigate and resolve billing difficulties with providers.
+ Support regular communication of “no-cost/low-cost” perk benefits and recognition programs assisting with the sourcing of additional benefits as available.
+ Responsible for the maintenance of the timeclocks on Clevelander premises. Responsible for registering new Team Members in a timely manner and for resolving any issues with the hardware.
+ Support Accounting Analyst/Payroll Administrator in resolving any timecard errors and/or uniform deductions. Remains informed and up-to-date of the payroll process and acts as back-up in times when the Accounting Analyst/Payroll Administrator is unavailable to process payroll.
+ Responsible for the execution of annual Health & Wellness Open Enrollment ensuring that HRIS system is properly updated, creating and posting communications to Team Members and Management about upcoming changes in benefits, assisting Team Members in the enrollment/declining process and answering all questions, and creating and submitting enrollment reports to carriers verifying that all information is correct.
TEAM MEMBER RELATIONS:
+ Support the planning and execution of Culture & Team Engagement activities, events and programs including New Team Member Orientation, Team Member recognition programs, Birthday and Anniversary recognition, Monthly Manager Luncheon, Annual Holiday Party, etc.
+ Prepare Birthday and Anniversary list for monthly posting on Bulletin Boards, create cards for distribution, and communicate upcoming Birthdays and Anniversaries to Management as appropriate.
+ Maintain CTE supply inventory including but not limited to: uniforms & nametags, handbooks, office & copy supplies and other materials as necessary.
+ Maintain uniform storage spaces and track inventory, process Shoes for Crews shoe orders, assist Team Members in obtaining new uniforms and filling out Uniform Authorization Forms correctly, work with Sr. Purchasing & Inventory Control Manager and Accounting Analyst to ensure uniform par levels and appropriate payroll deductions are maintained.
+ Escalate all sensitive Team Member related issues/problems to the attention of the Director of Culture, Resources & Compliance as appropriate and necessary and in a timely manner.
+ Inspect and support the maintenance of clean & safe work and Team Member areas, including but not limited to: Team Member Breakroom, Locker Room, offices, and other areas.
+ Assist in internal/external departmental mail distribution and bi-weekly payroll distribution.
+ Assist in attending to and greeting all incoming persons to the Culture & Team Engagement Department.
+ Answer phones and disseminate accurate and appropriate information to callers /applicants. Take messages as necessary.
+ Performs special projects & responsibilities as assigned.
+ Respond in a courteous, professional and rapid manner in order to resolve all management and staff difficulties.
+ Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company including, but not limited to those contained in the Team Member Handbook.

+ At least two years of progressive human resources experience, preferably working as an HR Generalist or in a role with a focus on benefit administration and employee relations within the hospitality industry.
+ Previous hospitality experience preferred.
+ Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
+ Previous experience in administering Paycom and HotSchedules is helpful but not required.
+ Be able to work a flexible schedule as necessary and assist any and all departments in peak business periods, holidays, or special projects.
